If you tow often, you likely know that mastering the art of backing up your vehicle with a trailer or boat attached to the hitch can take years to master. No matter how many times you may back up with a load attached, getting it where you need it to go almost always takes a few tries. Either you can’t see where you’re going or you steer it all wrong. Whatever it may be, you will be sure to appreciate that Ford has developed a solution and is putting an end to the struggle once and for all.

It was just announced that the upcoming 2016 Ford F-150 will be made available with a new feature that is likely to take the towing world by storm. The system will allow you to steer the trailer with just the turn of a knob, taking all of the difficulty out of the reverse maneuvers. As you may have guessed, there is not currently anything quite like the 2016 Ford F-150 Pro Trailer Backup Assist Feature. (more…)

Energy sustainability has become a hot topic in recent years as global energy usage has increased, concern about the environment grows, and the ability to survive long-term off of carbon based energy sources is increasingly being called into question. Fortunately, Ford Motor Company is committed to energy sustainability.

Every year, Ford releases an annual Sustainability Report, which is a voluntary and comprehensive annual account highlighting all things sustainable, from people to products. Ford has had great success in cutting energy use in its vehicle manufacturing process. While global energy is being projected to soar to 53 percent between 2008 and 2035, Ford has targeted a 25 percent reduction in energy usage between 2011 and 2016. (more…)

2016 Ford F-150 to Offer CNG/Propane Engine-Prep Package

Compressed Natural Gas/Propane-Powered 2016 Ford F-150

For the last five years, Ford has offered a gaseous engine-prep package that allows their vehicles to run on either compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane, two fuel sources that can help to save a great deal of money at the pumps. In the first year, the automaker sold just over 4,000 of the commercial vehicles, but numbers have more than quadrupled since then, and this year is shaping up to be an even stronger year. For that reason, Ford is expanding their CNG- and propane-capable lineup by bringing in the 2016 F-150. (more…)
