2015 Ford Edge vs 2014 Ford Edge
If you have been keeping up with the latest on the Ford Edge, it’s likely you already know that the midsize crossover is being completely redesigned for the 2015 model year. For that reason, it will be far different from last year’s 2014 model. To show you exactly how different they will be, let’s take a look at the 2015 Ford Edge vs 2014 Ford Edge. The differences are not extreme, but the models are definitely different enough to notice. Here is what sets them apart.
Perhaps the biggest change for the 2015 model year is the exterior design. The Edge has been completely revamped, giving it a look that is sportier and more athletic than it has been in the past. It has curves that are sculpted and that are put in all the right places, allowing the design of the 2015 Ford Edge to be not only stylish, but practical. Much like the 2014 model, the redesigned Edge offers plenty of space for what you need.
Another one of the big changes for the 2015 model year is that the Edge is getting itself a brand-new engine option. It will be made available with a 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost that will help to deliver a serious amount of power. We’re still not sure exactly how much power will stem from the engine, or how efficient it will be, but as we told you when looking at the all-new specs and features of the upcoming Edge, we have reason to believe that all of the numbers will be impressive.
The 2015 model will also offer up some of the same engine options that were found in last year’s 2014 model, but there will be some new features found in the 2015 Ford Edge that were not found in the previous generation model, and that were not found in a Ford in general. That’s right. There will be a number of new features and technologies coming to the new model that will be making their Ford debut.
One of the most anticipated new technologies is the Active Parking Assist feature, which allows you to park the Edge without having to steer at all. Once lined up, all you have to do is hit a button and the Edge will do all of the steering for you. All you have to do is control the speed and hit the brake if needed. It doesn’t matter if you are trying to get in a parallel or perpendicular spot, either. The Edge can do it all.
