2015 Ford Hybrid Fuel Economy Ratings

Seeing as Ford was named the Best Global Green Brand in the world, it really comes as no surprise that the automaker is continuously finding ways to improve fuel efficiency, and in turn, cut down the harmful emissions that can spew from the tailpipe. One such way that the company is doing so is by introducing a range of hybrid and electric vehicles. Of course the reduced emissions are important, but arguably the number one reason that consumers are purchasing the vehicles is because of their efficiency.

With a closer look at the 2015 Ford Hybrid fuel economy ratings, it’s quite clear to see what we are getting at here. There are currently only two hybrid offerings in the Ford lineup, but both are able to travel great distances on a minuscule amount of fuel, and as they are able to achieve their impressive mileage ranges without ever having to be plugged in—the automaker’s regenerative braking system is to thank for this—they are great options for a variety of lifestyles.

The most commonly known hybrid Ford vehicle is the C-Max, as it is offered exclusively as a hybrid. It does offer a plug-in option, but even so, there is not a gasoline-exclusive model of the C-Max. Ratings for the 2015 Ford C-Max Hybrid were recently released, and the numbers are just as astounding as we had first expected. With both the gas engine and electric motor working in tandem, the newest model of the Ford C-Max is able to travel as far as 42 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

If you are looking for a bit more space and want to make the transition into a hybrid vehicle a smooth one, we highly suggest that you check out the 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Despite the fact that it takes on a small electric motor, from the outside it is identical to the gas-powered version of the mid-size car—save for the hybrid badging on the exterior of the vehicle, of course. The real difference is in the fuel economy ratings.

With the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and the electric motor powering the wheels together, the Fusion Hybrid is able to achieve some of the highest ratings of any of the new Ford models in existence. Even when delivering the astounding 188 horsepower output, the dual-motor Fusion is able to stretch a gallon of gas for 44 miles in the city and 41 miles on the highway. It makes it a great option for a wide variety of lifestyles. Whether you commute to work, or just need a fuel-conscious vehicle to run errands, the Fusion Hybrid is the one.

With city ratings that far exceed the 40 mile-per-gallon barrier that some hybrid manufacturers have been struggling to break, it’s not difficult to see why so many residents in the Kansas City area are turning to the fuel economy ratings of the 2015 Ford hybrid offerings. If you are interested in jumping on the bandwagon, be sure to get in touch with us here at Matt Ford. We are more than happy to help introduce you to one of these fuel- and money-saving models.
