2015 Ford IIHS Top Safety Pick Vehicles

If you are familiar with safety ratings, it’s likely you already know that every year, just about every vehicle on the market is subjected to a range of safety tests by both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The ratings given out by these two companies are among the most highly regarded among consumers and now that we have heard the results from one of the administrations, we now know of the 2015 Ford IIHS Top Safety Pick vehicles.

Of all the vehicles tested, three with the Blue Oval were able to achieve a Top Safety Pick, meaning that they were able to score the highest rating of “good” in all four of the main tests conducted by the IIHS. That includes the moderate overlap front, head restraints and seats, side strength and roof strength. Of all the Ford vehicles tested, the three that achieve the rating were the C-Max Hybrid, Fusion and Focus.

We weren’t too surprised to see the 2015 Ford Fusion on the list seeing as it was one of the 2014 models that was able to achieve the Top Safety Pick rating, but the C-Max Hybrid and the Focus were both new additions to the list. Again, it’s worth noting that not all of the vehicles have been tested yet, so there are likely more that are going to be added to the list, but three is definitely a great start for the automaker.
