2015 Ford Taurus SHO Performance Specs

Back in the nineties, Ford produced the Ford Taurus SHO, which was a super high output trim of the flagship sedan, but the performance-tuned model was discontinued until 2009 when it was revived for the 2010 model year. Since then, the SHO has been tweaked to perfection, and that’s especially true when taking a look at the 2015 Ford Taurus SHO performance specs.

It comes equipped with a number of performance-enhancing upgrades which separate it from the lower-end trims of the popular full-size sedan. The 2015 model of the Taurus SHO delivers more power, greater control and an extremely sporty style.

Under the hood, the performance-tuned Taurus SHO is loaded with an efficient 3.5-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder that comes turbocharged, allowing it to produce power ratings similar to those typically found in larger V8 engines. When firing on all cylinders, the V6 is able to deliver a commanding output of 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Even with that power, the engine returns 25 mpg on the highway, making it one of the most well-balanced engine options on the market.

One of the many great aspects of the 2015 Ford Taurus SHO is that comes standard with a fully automatic all-wheel drive system. All engine power is directed to the front two wheels, however, when wheelslip is detected, the rear wheels kick in as well and allow you to get the necessary traction to keep the car moving. As the system only operates when necessary, the Taurus SHO is able to increase fuel efficiency.

The performance specs and features of the 2015 Ford Taurus SHO don’t end there. The sedan also comes with sport-tuned suspension that works with the engine and the six-speed automatic transmission to give you a great deal of control on the road and around corners. For an even sportier feel, the transmission can be manually controlled by steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

With so many performance-enhancing features, it comes as no surprise that residents in the Kansas City area are making the switch to the 2015 Ford Taurus SHO.
