2015 Ford Transit Kansas City MO
As you may know, the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant is one of the largest car manufacturing plants in America in terms of units produced, and as the plant mainly focuses on Ford F-150 production, Ford has always been able to meet the always-present demand for America’s best-selling truck. The KC plant is likely to remain as the largest in the nation, as the automaker has announced that they’re now manufacturing the all-new 2015 Ford Transit in Kansas City MO.
Ford has invested 1.1 billion dollars into production of the 2015 Ford Transit, and by adding the cargo van to the production schedule, Ford has brought in an additional 2,000 jobs to the Kansas City area. With the new jobs, the automaker is now more than 75 percent toward their overall goal of creating 12,000 hourly jobs right here in the United States by 2015. It just goes to show how much Ford cares about all of the American citizens that they serve.
We have spent a bit of time covering the 2015 Ford Transit here on our blog, but now that the cargo van is officially available for sale, we have a bit more information about all that the redesigned Transit is capable of. Available in a number of different configurations, with a variety of different upfit options, there’s no doubt that the all-new Transit is one of the most spacious and versatile vehicles on the Ford lineup, making it a great vehicle for expanding businesses that require transportation.
There aren’t many vehicles that offer a range of configurations for the exterior, but the Transit is one of the select few that do. The cargo van is available in three different wheelbases and body lengths, allowing it to cater to your needs. If you don’t need length so much as you need height, you’re also sure to appreciate the fact that the 2015 Ford Transit is available in three roof heights. We can assure you that if you can dream it, the all-new Transit can do it.
It’s hard to pin down a specific cargo volume as the Transit has such a wide variety of lengths and heights, however, we will provide you with a range. Even with the shortest body and lowest roof, the Transit has an interior volume of just over 246 cubic feet of space. Extend the body and raise the roof and the cargo van is able to take on an additional 200 cubic feet of cargo. At its max, the Transit provides an interior volume of 487 cubic feet.
As there are so many different configurations, its easiest to learn about the Transit by visiting the Ford website. Another great way of discovering all that the cargo van has to offer is to take it for a test drive, and right now Ford is holding a scavenger hunt for the 2015 Ford Transit in Kansas City MO. The winner will receive an extended two week test drive of the all-new Transit.
Here at Matt Ford we don’t currently have the all-new 2015 Ford Transit in Kansas City MO, but it won’t be long before it arrives.
