2015 Halloween Events in Kansas City

For most of us, when we think about October, we think about fall weather, football and the leaves changing colors. However, when kids think about October they think of Halloween. Children all over the country have been gearing up for Halloween by deciding what costume that they want to dress up in and by dreaming of candy. In order to help you and your kids get ready for the upcoming Halloween holiday we wanted to post an article where we talk about 2015 Halloween events in Kansas City for the entire family to enjoy.

2015 Halloween Events in Kansas CityShuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch

This fall attraction is one of the most fun family friendly experiences in the area. It’s located nearby in Pleasant Hill and is open on the weekends from September 26 through November 1 every year. They offer a wide-variety of fun attractions such as: Hay rides, kids corn box, a hay jump, barrel train, pumpkin patch and a corn maze.

Boo at the Zoo

This fun event takes place annually at the Kansas City Zoo. During this event children will get the opportunity to trick-or-treat the zoo in costume while checking out Halloween themed activities and entertainment. The Boo at the Zoo event will be taking place on Saturday, October 24, Sunday, October 25, and on Saturday, October 31 (Halloween day).  The festivities will take place from 9:30am to 5:00 pm. However, FOTZ members will receive access to trick-or-treating from 8:00am to 9:30am on Saturday, October 31.

Night of the Living Farm

This is not your typical haunted house. Every October the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead in Overland Park is transformed into a terror filled haunted barn that is sure to scare any guest who dares to enter. Some of the activities include a haunted horse-drawn hayride, haunted barn and much more. The event takes place on October 16, 17, 23 and 24 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.

All of us here at Matt Ford would like to wish you and your family a safe and happy Halloween this year!
