We are already into the month of August, and that means that kids and parents are starting to think about the start of the upcoming school year. Car sales tend to increase significantly during this time of year because of college students who are shopping for cars before the start of the school year.  We truly believe that one of the best cars for students is Ford’s iconic Fiesta model. In fact, Kelley Blue Book recently said the 2016 Ford Fiesta is a great car for students in their annual KBB.com Top 10 Best Back-to-School Cars of 2015 list. We will tell you some of the many reasons why the Ford Fiesta is a great car for students in this blog post.

The annual KBB.com Top 10 best Back-to-School Cars of 2015 list was compiled by the editors at Kelley Blue Book. These editors look at a variety of different factors and then hand-pick the cars that they believe are the best for students. The Ford Fiesta is one of our best-selling vehicles among younger drivers, so we were not surprised at all that it was selected for this list.

The subcompact Ford Fiesta has been around for many decades, and offers the perfect mix of safety, technology, style and safety for students. KBB.com calls the 2016 Ford Fiesta sporty and smart. It offers surprisingly responsive performance and handles extremely well. It also features SYNC 3, which is the newest infotainment system from Ford.

For the most part, Kelley Blue Book tried to select vehicles that sell for $20,000 or less for this list, and the 2016 Ford Fiesta comes in well below that. The Ford Fiesta has a starting MSRP of $13,965. When you combine that with the fact that it has a fuel economy rating of up to 43 miles per gallon it becomes clear that it is one of the most economical cars on the road, which is great for students.
