2016 Ford Super Duty Strobe Warning LED Lights

Construction workers often face tough deadlines, and just because the sun goes down does not mean that their day is done. Utility, road construction and municipal crews all often work late into the night to get the job done, and as that is most often the case, Ford has added an available new feature to the list of options for all 2016 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks that helps to warn other drivers that workers are still there.

2016-ford-f-series-super-duty-led-strobe-warning-lights-range-hood-construction-crew-factory-installedThe new feature is a factory-installed strobe warning LED light kit that consists of a set of two strobes that are connected to the hood of the trucks. The pair of lights are attached near the windshield and although the 2016 Ford Super Duty strobe warning LED lights are quite small, they produce a strong beam that can be seen for some impressive distances. The lights can also be mounted in back of the truck.

When shining in the day, the lights can be spotted from up to 1,000 feet, but where they really succeed is in the night where they can be seen from distances as far as a mile. That gives drivers plenty of time to slow down and to keep from passing any construction crews at unsafe speeds. What’s even better is that the lights are safe for the vehicle as well. They are attached without any cutting or drilling at all. In most cases, lights like these are installed aftermarket and with holes, the vehicles are susceptible to corrosion.

To celebrate the addition of the Strobe Warning LED light option, Ford released a clever video on April 27, which is Morse Code Day. To celebrate the unique holiday—which lands on the birthday of morse code inventor Samuel Morse—Ford used the strobe lights to spell out “Built Ford Tough.” If you’re interested in watching the video and in seeing the LED lights in action, you can watch the video below.

If you want to see the lights in action for yourself, you can do so as soon as the 2016 Ford Super Duty trucks hit the market. Keep in mind that the lights are an available option, so if you want to get a pickup with a set of them pre-attached, it may require a custom order. If you want to place that order and are located in the Kansas City area, we can help you out here at Matt Ford. Get in touch with us today.
