2014-ford-focus-electric-kansas-city-moThe 2014 Ford Focus Electric is an efficient car that runs strictly on the use of electricity, helping you to save a ton of money at the pumps. Unlike vehicles such as the 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid, the Focus Electric doesn’t use any gasoline at all. The maintenance-free lithium-ion battery provides all of the power, and to keep the battery juiced, the Focus Electric must be plugged in.

The majority of public EV charging stations in Kansas City utilize a 240-volt charger, which is the recommended voltage for electric vehicles. It’s the same amount of voltage that can be found in the available home charging station. When plugged into a 240-volt charger, the Focus Electric can reach a full charge in as little as three and a half hours, which is extremely quick for an EV.

When fully charged, the 2014 Ford Focus Electric is able to achieve MPGe, or mile per gallon equivalents of 110 in the city and 99 on the highway. With those extremely impressive ratings, the Focus Electric is able to travel up to 76 miles on a single charge. Remember, that’s without a drop of gasoline. At 76 miles, you can get to and from work and run errands without ever needing to charge.
