Ford Models at 2015 Detroit Auto Show

Here on the Matt Ford blog, we have been discussing quite a few upcoming Ford models, and while our information on all of those highly-anticipated offerings has been limited to say the least, we finally have some good news. We recently caught a glance of the Ford models at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, and we have to say that we are quite excited for the big show in the Motor City to start as we will likely learn a bit more about what these vehicles will be capable of ahead of their official release.

Ford Fiesta ST

We already knew that the Ford Fiesta ST has been confirmed for the 2015 model year, but what sets the ST variant of the subcompact apart is that it has received a slight face lift to separate it from last year’s 2014 model. It’s expected that the ST will hold onto its quick and nimble performance, but will switch up its skin to better reflect the sporty driving experience that it delivers. No word on an RS model quite yet.

Ford Focus RS

While we’re on the subject of RS models, it’s worth noting that a few online sources are saying that the 2016 Ford Focus RS will me making its debut in the Motor City. If this is the case, it’s likely that it will make its way to the U.S. market, as it would be nothing more than cruel if Ford brought it to the states only to ship it back overseas at the close of the show, but nothing has been confirmed at this point in time.

Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

For a while there have been some aluminum body rumors surrounding the Raptor, but they have now been confirmed, and according to numerous sources, the SVT Raptor will be making its appearance in Detroit with the new lightweight body. It is expected to garner just as much hype as the original 2014 Ford Raptor.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R

A short while back, Ford unveiled the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, but that will not be the one displayed during the Detroit Auto Show. Instead, the automaker will be showing off their GT350R, which is basically a more refined version of the standard GT350 that will more than likely equip upgraded systems such as performance-tuned brakes and tires, helping to make it one of the most substantial Mustangs out there.

As of right now, these are the four Ford models expected to be on display at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The show is scheduled to take place in January of 2015, and when it is held, we will likely get a full list of specs about each and every one of these models so check back for an update in the near future.
