Ford Safe Summer Driving Camp for Teens

One of the things that we love about the Ford brand is their commitment to safety. They develop by far the most advanced safety features and technology for the cars in their lineup. However, Ford’s commitment to safe driving extends far beyond that. For example, we recently learned about an all-new Ford Safe Summer Driving Camp for teens. This program is officially called Ford Driving Skills for Life, and it will be taking place this summer. We will be using this blog post to tell you all about this exciting new Ford program to promote safe teen driving.

Ford Safe Summer Driving Camp for TeensFord has developed the Driving Skills for Life program in collaboration with the Governor’s Highway Safety Association. The program is completely free of cost to teen drivers and will be held in six states throughout July and August. The states that the Driving Skills for Life program will be offered in include: Wisconsin, North Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota and Wyoming.

According to the Ford Driving Skills for Life Manager, Jim Graham, “Our program is focused on providing young and inexperienced drivers with the training and tools that they need to stay safe behind the wheel.” He went on to say, “We are excited to bring this program to these states for the first time as we look to provide an extra step in the learning process for new drivers.

Each summer camp location will feature four half-day sessions that cover the entire Driving Skills for Life curriculum, which includes: Vehicle handling, hazard recognition, speed management, and space management.
