Packages and Upgraded Features for 2016 Ford Mustang GT
When automakers release a new, redesigned vehicle, they often take feedback very seriously, and use that information to improve upon the vehicle early on in the cycle. At the end of last year, Ford sent their new Mustang to the market, and although it has only been on sale for a few months, they have already announced some of the new packages and upgraded features for the 2016 Ford Mustang.
Although there will be a couple of new offerings available with the pony car, there is no arguing that the hood vent-integrated turn signals are one of the most exciting additions. The turn signals were first found on the 1967 Ford Mustang, and for the last couple of years, the automaker claims that fans “have been clamoring for the return” of the innovative, and somewhat iconic Mustang blinkers.
According to Ford, there will also be a couple of new packages and options available when the 2016 Ford Mustang arrives later this fall. That includes a set of racings stripes, another iconic aspect unique to the Mustang, which will be available in black or silver. The over-the-top stripes will come standard with the California Special package, which will be offered exclusively for the Mustang GT Premium.
On top of the strips, the California Special will include 19-inch ebony-painted machined aluminum wheels, ebony leather and Miko suede seat inserts with red contrast stitching and an embossed logo. The California edition will also get special door panel inserts, carpet with stitching to match the seats, an aluminum dash finish and a black pedestal spoiler. A California Special badge, in addition to logos on the seats, dashboard and strut tower brace will also help to set this special edition GT apart.
Those who don’t want to go all out with the California Special model will be sure to appreciate that the stripes mentioned earlier will be available as an option all on their own. There will also be a black roof option and a black accent package that includes black wheels, a black rear spoiler, dark taillight trim and black emblems spread all around, which helps to give the Mustang a very unique look.
If you want to take advantage of any of these new packages or upgraded features, you can do so when the 2016 Ford Mustang arrives later this year. As we mentioned earlier, the release date is set to arrive in the third quarter of the year, so it won’t be long before these options will be available.
Here at Matt Ford, we can help to give you answers to any questions that you have. If you reside in the Kansas City area and want to learn more, or want to lay your eyes on these new special edition models, we can help you to do just that when these new pony cars arrive. All you have to do is contact us and when the 2016 Ford Mustang arrives, we’ll make sure that you’ll be the first to know.
