Upgrades for New Ford Sync 3 Infotainment System
It was just recently made known that Ford would be replacing their MyTouch system with something a bit more updated and in line with the times. The new system, dubbed Sync 3, is expected to bring a much better user experience along with it, and to fill you in on all of its capabilities, we thought it would be worthwhile to take a look at the upgrades for the new Ford Sync 3 infotainment system.
Technology advances quite quickly these days, and for that reason, infotainment systems in vehicles that are even just a year or two old are actually quite outdated. For that reason, Ford has taken steps to get ahead of the game and make their system better than ever before. There aren’t really any new features in the system. Instead, the features that are there have just gotten some upgrades.
In the past, there were complaints about the Ford MyTouch system not being very responsive, but those issues have been addressed for the new system. The touchscreen responds much quicker to touch, and the voice recognition capabilities have been enhanced. Even if you tend to mumble, you will find that the Sync 3 system is still able to recognize your voice. The graphical interface of the system has also been tweaked, making it easy to use for those who are not technology saavy.
As we have mentioned on our blog in the past couple of weeks, the new Sync 3 system will make its debut in a few new 2016 models. So far we have heard that the Transit and Transit Connect will both get the system, and the Ford F-150 will also be outfitted with the upgraded technology. We have a feeling that the upgraded system will also find its way into every other models in the lineup as well.
If you are interested in learning more about the Ford Sync 3 infotainment system and all that is has to offer, we encourage you to get in touch with us here at Matt Ford. As soon as we get one of the new Sync 3-equipped models in stock, we can give you a personal tutorial of all of the new features.
